School Rules

  1. Every student should carry this diary and their Rough Book to the school everyday. (Std. I onwards)

  2. Students are required to go for the Assembly as soon as the first bell rings.

  3. Parents should strictly not send their ward to school, in case the child suffers from measles, chicken-pox, conjunctivitis, dengue etc. It shall be mandatory to produce a doctor’s certificate stating that it is okay for the child to attend school.

  4. Students are advised to make use of the dust-bins provided for throwing bits of paper etc. they are expected to keep the campus neat and clean.

  5. Students are not allowed to visit the Swimming Pool area without the instructor or mentor.

  6. Students must take care of the school property. Damaging school furniture, writing on the walls or disfiguring the school property will be dealt with strictly. Any damage to school property should be reported to the Class Teacher or the Principal.

  7. For all damages to the school property, the student will have to pay the actual cost of the article damaged along with 50% penalty in addition to other action depending upon the gravity of the matter.

  8. Students are advised not to bring/wear valuable articles to the school. Any loss of article or money should be reported to the Class / Subject Teacher immediately. The school shall not be responsible for these losses.

  9. Students are forbidden to practice borrowing of any stationery items from their friends or to celebrate their birthday in the campus.

  10. Parents or guardians are not permitted to visit the classroom or meet their wards or take away their wards during school hours without the written permission of the Principal. Producing the Parents ID card in all such cases is mandatory.

  11. A school is judged by the conduct of its students hence, the students are always expected to set standards of good conduct and politeness in the school, in the bus and at public places.

  12. Students should take care of their belongings. All personal items including blazers, water bottles etc. should be labelled.

  13. No shouting, whistling, running will be permitted in the classrooms or in the school premises. Silence must be observed outside the Principal's office, staff room, in the class room, laboratories, library, corridors and canteen area.

  14. Mobile phones and such other gadgets are prohibited in school. All such items will be confiscated and Parents shall be informed. A fine of ` 500/- will be imposed and such items once confiscated will not be returned in any condition whatsoever.

  15. Your ward is allowed to distribute only toffees like Eclairs, Falero, etc on birthdays. Distributing big chocolate bars is not allowed.

  16. They should always behave in a courteous manner and prove themselves as worthy ambassadors of the institutions as well as their country.

School Uniform

Parents are expected to follow the instructions given below regarding the school uniform.

PRE-PRIMARY :
Boys : Red T-Shirt with logo + Checked shorts + White Socks with Grey Stripes + Black Velcro Shoes + ID-card
Girls : Red T-Shirt with logo + Checked Skirt + White Socks with Grey Stripes + Black Velcro Shoes + Red Rubber Band with Red Ribbons / Red Hair Band (cloth) with Black Pins + ID-card

PRIMARY & ABOVE :
Boys (Std. I to XII) : White Half Sleeve Shirt + Grey Half Pants (I - V) / Grey Trousers (VI onwards) + White Socks with Grey Stripes + Black Shoes (with laces) + Tie + Belt + ID-card
Girls (Std. I to XII) : White Half Sleeve Shirt + Grey Pleated Skirts (Just above the knees) + Black Ribbons / Hair Bands (cloth) + Black Cycling Shorts + White Socks with Grey Stripes + Black Shoes (with laces) + Tie + Belt + ID-card. (Black cycling shorts for the girls are a must.)

P.T. Uniform : House T-Shirt + Track Pants

WINTER UNIFORMS :
Pre-Primary : Full Pants (Boys) / Black Stockings (Girls) + Jacket
Std. I to XII :
Boys : Full Pants + Blazer / Jacket
Girls : Black Stockings (Full length) + Blazer / Jacket (for P.T. / Games)
  • ID-Card must be worn regularly. In case broken/lost pay `100/- in admin office and get the new one.

  • P.T. Uniform has to be worn on the day marked for Yoga and MPT as per time table.

  • Students should always be neatly dressed with their shoes polished & hair groomed properly. They should come to the school in the prescribed uniform daily and on all school functions.

  • SStudents who are improperly or shabbily dressed or having a fancy hair cut will not be allowed in the class room. Mushroom cut and French hair cut is strictly prohibited. In such cases the student shall not be allowed to attend School till the hair grows to an equal length.

  • Non-Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals.

Leave and Attendance

No short leave is permitted. In case of any family function or other programme, Parents are requested not to send the child to school.

  • Every student is expected to maintain an attendance record of at least 85% during the academic year. Failing this, he / she may not be allowed to appear for the final assessments.

  • For any absence, a proper leave application must be written by the Parents to the Principal, supported by a medical certificate in case of sick leave.

  • In case, the student takes an unplanned leave for some reason, the Parents are to call the school and inform the school about the same.

  • In the school, if a student misses any class or leaves the school before closure without permission, he / she will be marked absent for the whole day. stern action will be taken against such truants.

  • Student's name will be struck off the rolls, if the student is absent in the school for 15 days continuously without taking valid leave.

Rules Related to Fees

  • The PDCS submitted to the school by the Parents towards Fees shall be deposited in the Bank every quarterly viz. 7th April, 7th July, 7th October, 7th January of the following year. A penalty of ₹250/- shall be charged if the cheque is dishonoured.

  • Parents should kindly keep the receipts safe with them and produce the same whenever required by the school to verify the payment of the school dues of a particular term for which intimation from the bank has not been received by the school.

  • Parents have the option to deposit the school dues for the whole year in advance if they find it more convenient.

  • In case of refund of extra charges levied by the school or for any kind of correspondence, parents are requested to deal directly with the Accounts Department.

  • Till the dues are cleared, Bus Service for the student shall be suspended from the next day of the dates mentioned in Point No. 1.

Withdrawals

Regarding issue of LC Parents must note that fees and the bus fee for the entire academic year will be charged, in case of withdrawal of a child during the academic year.
If a student needs to be withdrawn from the school the Parents / Guardians of that student must submit a notice in writing a month in advance.
Leaving Certificate (LC) on withdrawal is issued only after all the school dues are cleared by the Parents/Guardians.

Refund

Caution money, if any, will be refunded at the time of withdrawal from the school but only on the producing the receipt along with an application. The dues of the school should have be paid or settled.
Refund of caution money will have to be claimed latest within that current Academic Year from the date of withdrawal of the child from the school.

Notes to Parents / Guardians

Parents/Guardians are requested to co-operate with the school authorities:

  • By ensuring that their wards are regular in their class / home assignments daily lessons.

  • By checking their ward's school dairy & report card regularly & also paying attention to the Teacher's remarks. All correspondence should be addressed to the Principal by the Parents / Guardians.

  • Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience, misconduct or bad moral influence may cause the expulsion of the student from the school.

  • Whenever the Parents come to school to drop their child or to meet the Teachers, they are requested to carry the Parents I-Card and produce on demand and be courteous with the security personnel.

  • There would be no retake of Assessments or Exams under any circumstances.

Visiting Hours

Parents and Visitors may meet the Principal from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on all working days or by prior appointment.

In case of any complaint, the Parents need to write the same and send it in an envelope with their ward or send it to the Principal's office before meeting her.

Use of Transport and Conduct

  • Students should reach their stipulated bus stop 10 minutes early and wait for the bus. The bus will not wait for the student arriving late at the concerned stop under any circumstances, as it will cause a lot of inconvenience in maintaining punctuality.

  • Parents should not argue with the bus escort teacher, conductor or driver. If there is any problem, a written complaint to the Principal can be given.

  • If the student damages the bus property Misbehaves in the bus, immediate suspension for 3 days and fine for the same shall be collected.

  • Boarding and alighting the buses should be done in an orderly manner. Unruly behaviour like shrieking, shouting and playing within the bus is strictly prohibited. Courteous behaviour is expected from all.

  • All students must occupy seats allotted to them, after boarding their respective buses. Changing of seats for co-commuters is not allowed under any circumstances. A chart for the same shall be available in the bus.

  • Seats shall be allotted based on the age-group.

  • Parents should not overtake and stop the school bus to facilitate the boarding of their wards, as this endangers the safety of the students already present the bus. This kind of behaviour shall lead to strict disciplinary measures. Parents are not allowed to enter school buses to see offer receive their ward.

  • Parents / Grandparents have to carry their Parent l-card for collecting their ward.

  • The School shall not be responsible for the safety of a student after he/she has been handed over to the authorised person or once he/she physically moves out from the school bus.

  • The bus stop cannot be changed to suit individual needs. However, requests for change of residence can be made in writing to the Principal, after which it may be considered subject to availability of seats.

  • GPRS facility is available for your convenience.

School Timing & Working Days

School Timing

Nursery, Junior & Senior KG : 08:00 am to 12:00 p.m.

Std. I onwards : 08:00 am to 02:00 pm

Working Days

Monday to Saturday except First Saturday (on account of Parent - Teacher Meeting as per schedule mention in the school Almanac). On 3rd Saturday's, students shall disperse at 12:00 PM. 2nd and 4th Saturdays will be regular working days.
NOTE: Nursery will have holiday on all Saturdays.

Evaluation & Examination System

Term Assessment with gradual increase in the learning assessment would prepare the students to cover the whole syllabus of the Academic Year and help students to face the challenge of Class X Board Examination and also ensure "Quality Education". Std. Ill onwards, the Academic Session will consist of Two Terms, at the end of which, Half Yearly and Annual Examination will be held. The total of both the Terms, i.e. Term-1 and Term-2, will be of 100 marks each for all the Subjects and shall include 20 marks for Internal Assessment (Periodic Assessments, Multiple Assessments, Subject Enrichment activities and Portfolio /Notebook Keeping). While the remaining 80 marks will be for the performance in the Pen and Paper - Half Yearly as well as in the Annual Examination.
Students shall also be assessed through Quarterly as well as through Pre-Annual Exams, the total of which would be 40 marks each.

  • Annual Exam will cover significant topics of Term-l and the entire syllabus of Term-Il.

  • It is mandatory for the students to appear for all the examinations as per the given schedule.

  • Leave of absence from writing an Examination is sanctioned only on medical grounds and only by the Principal. No Examination will be held prior of post of the declared date of Examination.

  • In case a student represents the school for any Interschool / State Level / National Level Competitions, he I she will appear for a separate Exam on a freshly allotted date which shall be intimated, well in advance.

  • If any student is found using any unfair means during the Examinations he / she will be debarred from the Examinations.

  • 85% attendance is necessary to be eligible for appearing in the Annual Examination.

  • A student will be declared "Pass" only when he / she maintains an average aggregate of C2 Grade.
